God FORBID a company who wishes to ALPHA test a product for bugs, crashes and functionality select from a DIVERSE pool of applicants with infinitely different PC builds and specs, your location, as WELL as what ISP you have over just who chose to pay for 1.0 and who didn't.

It's alpha testing... not a reward for your loyalty. That's what Legacy is for.

This game needs to work on a global scale for an audience of new and old players, even if you didn't receive an invite right now, who cares? The selection has been made, you will eventually make it in at some point, just be happy that we are going to get input from all walks of life, hardcore oldschool XIV players or not, that's what we need for this game to succeed. Multiple tester prospectives. Your "i've been here from the start" experience will benefit the testing input much differently than someone who just started or hasn't even played, but both will be very valuable information, you'll both get the test, just have patience.

The only thing I wanna know about the Alpha is whether or not it's going smoothly enough to keep things on schedule. I don't need to know about what's going on in there or what sorts of content are in the game. I don't even think I want to participate in the open beta 'cause I want to be surprised. I'll be happy if people can tell me how things like input lag, character loading, etc. are looking like.
