lol so true, but can you really blame this community? I mean we went through hell and back with this game and been through the times this game was pure crap, even people who stuck by when we had to pay. I can see SE catering to people who dis the game from the start because they're the ones that needs convincing , not us.

The ironic thing is, that those people who 'dis the game from the start' still applied for an alpha testing in order to be accepted. SE didn't just up and picked their name out of random - those people actually had to fill in information on a website that stressed it was alpha testing. Maybe we should blame those who applied merely for the lols for wasting slots?lol so true, but can you really blame this community? basically people who want alpha just want to play the new FFXIV, not real testing. And you're right some of those people may just want it for the lols and waste a slot for us but there is some we may get back, if the japanese are praising this game in alpha, i'm sure people who just play maybe an hour of it will praise it also.

I'm sure its been said over and over, but I feel like the ALPHA should have been dedicated players. Players who know how to play in general, so they can help find bugs and help stress test with little guidance.
Then for the first wave BETA they could have invited all those people who quit the game long ago. Hopefully by first wave Beta most of the prominent wrinkles would have been smoothed out.
Alpha is not for showing off.

I do agree. For alpha, you need people who know the game. Even if it got changed drastically, those who are active subscribers have played (and recently) and therefore would know more about the game than others.I'm sure its been said over and over, but I feel like the ALPHA should have been dedicated players. Agreed. I'm tight. We stuck around, we want in. Alpha could turn those same people away, again.I'm sure its been said over and over, but I feel like the ALPHA should have been dedicated players.
