Lore belongs in the game not on a website, were not playing Doom or Heretic anymore. the day's of lore and story coming in a booklet are over.
They also know that if they were to summon it, it would basically cloud their minds with evil. Which is why the beastmen that have done so are aggressive, moreso than they have been before. And it could even cause adventurers to go mad if their mind is not prepared when entering a lair.I have a feeling that the Sylph's attitude with their Primal, Ramuh, is not that of a benevolent Eikon, but of a wrathful god whom they fear. Their more cooperative attitude to the races of the Twelve seems to imply that sort of contrast versus the other Primal-Beastkin relationships.
Think Old Testament fear.
Notice how the beastmen that can summon primals are Aggresive, but the ones that haven't are Passive?
There's plenty of lore explanations in game. The most notable one was Professor Erik who explains more history as you proceed in the MNK questline. The biggest lore bomb when the Jobs came out was the reveal that the dragon in the Opening Cinematic was actually Midgardsormr.
And NPCs in instances always have a wealth of information you don't normally get to see in the cutscenes.
