PS3 beta test.

Originally you had to register with the Square Enix Members site with the code that came with FFXIII, then they gave you another code, which was used on the SE Account site to give asuran armlets, which this code was also suppose to double as a way to get into the PS3 beta.

I am guessing when they actually have PS3 beta sign ups you have to enter that code that got you asuran armlets which will get you in. Then when it starts SE will send you a 12 digit PS3 code to use on the store since all betas are downloaded through the store.

I'll be mostly playing on pc but if I ever when somewhere without my pc guess I'll an ps3 for backup :x

Well I'm glad to hear that with a code provided by Square that we can join beta without being a member to P+!

I only got that idea from reading literature on the new PSN revamp and one of the Playstation Plus features is, access to Beta's and timed trials. (I know timed trials are different, but that is how it is worded)

And I entered the XIII code to get my Vanguard gloves, but never knew how the beta thing would work. Interesting that it was for PS3 beta.

However I am sad I didn't get an invite for Alpha. However it's probably my own fault for saying I wanted to test for PS3 over PC. lol Oh well... lol

Needing a Playstation+ account to access the beta is one of the things that would probably cause SE to drop FFXIV from the PS3 entirely since it would confound SE's ability to target the widest audience(unless they gave some sort of "preferred" status, while others would eventually gain access) possible. It's much akin to them dropping the 360 version because MS prefers to keep a Draconian grip on the gate keys to Xbox Live.

I also wouldn't expect SE to honor those FFXIII beta invite keys given the situation of FFXIV currently. But hey, they DID surprise us with the announcement of 2.0, so who knows?

This was mentioned in an interview with Yoshi-P but we wanted to spread the word that the campaign codes included in FINAL FANTASY XIII will be valid for gaining selection priority for the FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn PS3 beta test!

When we have the drawing for the PS3 version of the beta test, we will be adding the campaign codes and making selections.
(You will have to re-apply to be a tester, but the code you entered previously will still be valid.)

I have my FF13 code and I registered it with SE Members when I first got it awhile back. I don't ever remember receiving another code to register on my SE account for the asuran armlets (and subsequent PS3 beta test guarantee). At the time I didn't really care to start my character over just to get the asuran arm gaurds but now the PS3 beta seems like a big deal to me since I can't play the PC version. Where might I locate the asuran armgaurds code, if I've already connected my FF13 code to my members page.

Sadly you no longer can put the code in Square einix website to get the asuran armgaurd at this time you have to wait when they open that up.

To answer your question when you put the code on Square einix website it then would send a email to you with the code for the FFXIV 13 item. But seeing like you can't add the code to the account part of square einix does not even matter you just have to sign up for beta when they allow us and hope you get in ps3 version.
