question about primals in opening movie

Hi all...

I saw something that's making me think alot about the opening when the airship fell after that "dragon" hugged it..

when the "hero" fell he saw Ifrit, Titan and many other primals .... my questions are:

1- Where did they come from? airship?

2- How many primals are total?

1) depending the latest posts in lore, Primals come in the world after the death of midgarsorm (the big dragon) because with is death a certain seal is broken and the primals are free to pass in this world

The Midlander journeys back approximately 10 years and appears in a location near Mor Dhona. After helping a party (Lalafell female, Roegadyn male, Elezen female) finish their levequest objectives (slaying the morbol), an imperial juggernaut appears before they can access the aetherial node and collect their reward. The Midlander accidentally gets tossed onto the back of one of these machines, and gets carried up into the sky, where he witnesses the Garleans fight with the dragon Midgardsormr in the Battle of Silvertear Skies. Though the great dragon is able to destroy the Garlean flagship, he perishes in the process, and the seal which he protected (guarding the concentration of aether beneath Silvertear Lake) is broken, allowing the beast tribes access to this energy, which they use to freely summon their primals (as taught to them by the mysterious paragons). The Garleans, having lost their flagship and sensing the presence of something more powerful than their remaining forces can handle, retreat back to Ala Mhigo. Meanwhile, with the fall of the Keeper of the Lake, the aetherial balance in the area gets thrown out of whack, transforming the once lush area into a crystalline wasteland—Silvertear Falls now dried up.

As for how many Primals there are, so far we only know of Ifrit, Garuda, Titan, Leviathan, Shiva, Odin and Bahamut.

We are not sure about shiva yet in XIV but Ramuh yes.

hopefully shiva make's in apperince in later add on.

Forgot about Ramuh, but Shiva being there would make sense as it would complete the six major elements. Ifrit, Garuda, Titan and Leviathan I believe are supposed to be in at the game's launch while the other two we don't know yet.

ermmm I am pretty sure that "Garuda" is really Pheonix... looks more like a Pheonix. Not the Garuda we have come to know.

Nope nope nope, see you're seeing it like I did! lol Yah doesn't she look like a big bird? that's not a beak though thats like a wing.

It does look like the profile of a bird but once you see Garuda's actual face it cannot be unseen (Unless you squint)

Hey Yukagama! It's dann from asura! =P Anywho if you take a look at the poster in the background of the live letter you'll see a picture of all the known primals, and in the top right under Bahamut is Shiva! Check it out!
