When can we see Arcanist / Summoner in action?

I thought they had said arcanist WILL be in the release of ARR but the SMN will come with a later patch. Apparently they already had the arcanist in the gamedata since 1.0 beta but they never implemented it. Now they are just re-purposing it for the SMN.

Archanist was in the original dat files but it had nothing to do with Carbuncle or summons, for all intents and purposes it's a brand new class.

And yes you're right they did say SMN would most likely make it at a later date. Hopefully before most of us get it to 50 already (but I doubt it).
