Completely random quote aside... your comparison is completely off mark.

Your friend telling you that everyone he met in the alpha has played since the first alpha and so forth is enough to say that only for the ones he met, which is a negligible percentage of the total and has no statistical value. It's not enough to say that ALL or the MAJORITY of the alpha testers fit those criteria, because he didn't ask them all, nor the majority, nor a relevant percentage.

Multiple people telling that they received an invitation despite having an inactive account is enough to say that it happened to those people. No one is saying that ALL or a MAJORITY of the people with inactive accounts received an invitation. All we're saying is that it happened, no one is saying to how many.

Witnesses can prove that something happened to individuals or limited groups, or in a limited environment, but you can't prove a statistic without a comprehensive and fairly large statistical pool.

Since here no one is trying to pull statistics on what numbers or percentage of players with an inactive accounts got invited, good job for comparing apples to oranges and adding something completely irrelevant to the discussion.
