Witnesses have their uses, but their stories have to match with the evidence to be any use. Witnesses also show more of the story, let's say someone gets murdered, in court the witnesses story matches with the evidence, but they say "xxx has had a lot of people beating him randomly, I guess he just snapped, he's normally a really nice guy" then out come medical records that prove this story, the nice guy who just snapped goes to a psychiatrist rather than the chair.
Oh my, you are speaking about this thread?

Maybe it's high time you stopped whining and update with the rest of the world outside, if you even miss 'an entire thread' being restored.
Not really, considering the alpha is scheduled to end before the end of December. The only reason they're adding more people is so that we don't complain it's "JP only" as they already got enough data from their tests (read the interview summaries). This means that they're most likely going to monitor login ratios constantly, possibly sending out invites every week.

I read it, but didn't join in because it's pointless. It's just Alpha, It nice to get invited.. but not bummed out to not get in because Alpha is a bunch of crashing ( time restrictions) etc etc. Point is as long as the people in Alpha are actually testing and not twiddling their thumbs, then I'm perfectly fine with not being in Alpha.
Like I said Visual proof or it didn't happen!
:O?!? When did iHuman update!? I've been missing my firmware updates OrzOh my, you are speaking about this thread?

Sorry.. cant help myself.. lol
Having done many alpha/betas in the past its a few groups of wants and dont wants thrown into a powerball cruncher - dont fret RNG hates you not SE.
Unfortunately going by posts / count isnt very good because not everyone runs on the forums and that would be biased. Though those who often give feedback should / probably will be invited with bias - at some point, most likely in beta where it will count more.
(Honestly most alphas are just doing stupid activities like congregating at one point and jumping/casting spells... so... fight for beta :P).
That's what I thought they were only holding the alpha at certain times for stress test reasons so they can see how many people they can pack into 1 area before their servers become unstable.:O?!? When did iHuman update!? I've been missing my firmware updates Orz

The exact tests are only known to the testers, in alpha for 1.00 we were mainly testing things like the battle system, levequest system, party system, not much of "go to to Black Brush so we can see how many PCs, monsters and NPCs can be in a zone before it crashes" kind of thing.
Alpha is for testing the hardware / software but not really the gameplay elements (though its not impossible to work on those). Beta is a better time for changes to design as the software and hardware are less / no longer of an issue (less distractions to design).
In previous alphas I played in we just kind of did shit and a lot of it broke or froze or was laggy and kind of bad. While beta is actually a point where you can start to have fun. That being said apparently alpha testers of FFXIV ARR are saying "wow, this is beta already". .. so who really knows besides SE and the testers :P.
Anyway for "fun" i look forward to beta most but wouldn't be humbled to be included in alpha (I love testing things.. :P ).
