Pretty much this, SE should know at least who enter on the forum to check it, idk, maybe when someone log on. I know 2 guys that got alpha invite and both don't know there were a forum here...

Also, not QQing now, just sad .

Read the latest players poll the majority of players do not post on the forums, we are the minority, so by your logic the majority of players should be excluded because they don't wanna post here.

But why? Alpha testers have a different forum than us - it was stated awhile ago. What benefits will knowledge of a previous forum do towards the testing of an alpha version of what is at the core a different game?

Anyone know if they threw out peoples app if they had family members in the same house apply? IE brothers/sisters, husbands/wife, boyfriend/girlfriend. Given that you would have the same IP they could be like this is the same guy trying to apply more then once. Cause I know a lot of people who lived together and didn't get in and they all apply.

I don't think I saw a 1 entry per household. But that would suck if it is true.

No, there is not a 1 entry per household clause. (Both me and my husband were successful in joining 1.0 alpha and the rules for this alpha are the same pretty much according to the NDA and tester app)

You mean you got in???? Impossible you have a lvl 50 so according to these forums this is impossible Lolz.

If I did get in I wouldn't say as it would be a violation of NDA. Just know that I am not QQing :-)

For myself, I just need SE / community rep confirming whether inactive account able or not able to apply the alpha....

they just need to confirm it or denied it. Making vague stance like this just make me worry. Hope there wont be any breach of their account management system

Have to define active / inactive first. There was another post that made it clear (not a rep post). All you have to do is have had an active session with FFXIV in the past to be included into the poll. So active once counts (people who joined played shortly and then left are in).

They never said an active account was required to be selected for Alpha Testing.

Square Enix defines an Active Account as having Logged in Within the past 30 Days. It is the same requirement used to prevent inactive players from posting on these forums.

To Apply for Alpha, all you had to do was log in to your character, then fill out the Alpha application.

If you cared enough to enable your character, log in to the game, and fill out the Alpha application, you obviously want this game to be successful and are completely justified in being part of the Alpha Test.
