And i hope they dont do F2P on 14...

I think you don't know what a MMO is.I am asking you SE to consider a free to play option in addition to subscription model. In today's PC market the majority of MMOs and other action RPG type games are free to play. Take a look at Guild Wars 2, Star Wars the Old Republic, Aion, Everquest 2, Lotro, Diablo 3, League Of Legends, Phantasy Star Online 2, DC Univerise online, the list goes on.
I can't say for all those games because I don't know all of them but...
Diablo 3 : 4 players. not a MMO.
LoL : 10 players. not a MMO.
At this points, Halo, CoD, Team Fortress and Counter-Strike are also MMOs...

MMO is generally used as a short-hand term (in typical circles) to mean "MMORPG", the first incarnation of these types of games. However there are also MMOFPS and MOBA (which are MMO-action games, sometimes just called MMOGs).
MMORPGs and MOBAs have F2P + cash shop models in place most typically, but MMOFPS are going that same route (see: Planetside 2, MechWarrior Online, other games in the pipe).
Halo, CoD, and the rest are not MMO because they do not have persistent world game models. That is one of the criterion for a FPS to jump into the MMO world.
All these games are successful to some degree and various companies have tried different models for revenue. MMORPGs are going the route of F2P + Cash shop because it is lucrative. It makes more money over time and incentivizes being able to play the game without a real committment. You can think of subscription-based models vs. cash shop like fishing. Subscription based models are a lake where everyone casts their line and everybody gets a small fish. In F2P models, not everyone catches a fish, but a few people catch really big fish, and some catch monstrous ones (size=money spent in this analogy). Developers can force you to target the big fish by figuring out exactly what you'd spend money on. It works, period. I'm not personally for THIS GAME going F2P but the retarded level of discussion happening in parts of this thread (and others like it) is (are) testament to how little the average poster here actually understands about F2P models. Chances are all they ever played was FFXI and because that 'worked for them' that automatically means it must work for everyone else too. Sorry, but that's just wrong. More people in this world prefer F2P model than subscription based now. Times have changed and that's how it is, sadly or otherwise for you, whichever you choose to believe.

But really, I would much rather pay my 2c and then have a right to complain and other wise request better from a provided... then have free service and have NO say it it what so ever.. for those 15$ you pay you get the option to expect more and they have to deliver.. if free you can't expect anything, and you get nothing...
Start of p2p in January to November first the changes introduced well cover the money payed. But remove the subscription money and we would be say place with little advancement...

No just no this thread starter should be banned just no stop asking for f2p its not going to happen go cry about it somewhere else because everyone here is tired of seeing it

The sad thing is I'm starting to feel that a return to the spam of F2P and marriage threads would be preferable than the current lolalpharage threads.

I don't mind the monthly subscription...it keeps away those annoying 10 year olds that want to play MMOs but can't because they need their parent's permission and credit card.
Yes SE make levels 1-10 f2P. this is a good way to let ppl experiance the game.... alot of other comapanys have done this option and it works....
In Game pic from Deus Ex

some solid points in here.. and some really dumb ass ideas/points in here. I don't think some people ever really stop and think these days
