    Ideas (for future implementations)

    Thought I make a new post for everyone to contribute and to provide their input of ideas whether it's from another MMO or completely new.

    Share your ideas! (Anything that you think would be great for the future of FFXIV) So share your ideas and thoughts with no worry so we all can discuss!

    My idea whether it's already been said or not.

    - Train ride : Another form of commuting from one place to another via land. It be nice to have a metrolink like station for a metropolis city in FFXIV to go from one place to another within the city that is massive. Not likely but oh well.
    - Combining more than 1 player's skills/ability/magic spells to form a more powerful attack! I know we have limit breaks but it be nice to combine 2 people's attack and not just strictly to entire party.
    - Romantic venues for the love birds

    Just some ideas I think would make great addition to the game.

    UPDATE* - What do you guys think about being able to instantly teleport to a party leader when you are in a party? I know it most likely people will abuse that power and become lazy and stuff. This ability is actually implemented in FFXI but you have to used a item with a cool down timer.

    GOBLIN KING PRIMAL FIGHT



    We cannot forget that just because they're on more ambiguous terms with us doesn't mean that there aren't beastmen among us. Moogles, qiqirn, goblins... their gods may not be malevolent deities hellbent on global domination, but every race has reverence for some ideal. In the Moogles, we saw this with Good King Moggle Mog XII, who, despite not being your average primal, was nonetheless called forth from the aether as a manifestation of the paragon of moggly mogness.

    I think the Goblins should take the same path: a feel-good fun-based fight where we face the Goblin King. He'd need to be decked out in some pretty regal goblin armor, as we almost never see their true faces.



    (Thankfully.)


    We can start with Moblin armor and work our way up, but I think the shiny, golden goblin standard, stamped with elegant designs, is a great start. It needs a crown, however. His backpack would be less of a traveler's kit and more of a clockwork vacuum device with a long hose attached. At certain times, he would activate it, setting forth a conal AoE DRAW-IN effect that threw players around the battlefield. Each time he did this, a bomb would be sucked in from just outside the battlefield (part of his stash). This bomb would then be fired back at members of the party, dealing target-centered circular AoE damage.

    Another TP move would involve using his hammer to strike a large, luminary bomb-frypan like a gong, stunning everything in range and opening them to other trademark goblin moves such as various types of firework-based attacks. Goblin adds would periodically swarm the field, giving him bombs, firing bottle rockets, and chasing people around.

    Much like the Moogle fight was set in a creepy atmosphere and played music reminiscent of the classic Moogle theme set to the structure of This is Halloween from The Nightmare Before Christmas, the Goblin fight would take place in a clockwork cave arena and feature music reminiscent of a song by David Bowie (adjusted of course @.@) in Labyrinth. Because ... come on. Goblin King.

    What do we name him?

    Goblin naming conventions require a descriptive term and a name using a word related to said descriptive term that ends in "-ix" (because he's male); unrealted example: Soulstealer Skullnix

    I like that idea alot. And the name Goblin King sounds cool too. This will really gives more game contents to FFXIV.
    As for the descriptions of Moblin's attack and TP move, I love it.

    Haha, thats be something to see with stun effect! Also, to add, it be cool if they add the Chocobo Peck move like in FFXIII/XIII-2

    It would be awesome if he right up picked up a goblin minion and used them as a bomb!

    I remember a thread about a goblin airman. lol If we had to dodge bomb drops during the fight, that would be awesome too!

    Yoshi-P mentioned in the latest live letter housing will be able to feature achievements like bahamut's head, for slaying bahamut. It reminded me of FF12's Pirate's Den, which was kind of the game's achievements system. I hope more achievements turn up this way, that would be good. I want that.

    High level abilities allowing for more unique boss content!

    e.g Life 3.

    Dual Job system.

    E.g - Conjurer - splits off as WHM or ____ Mage that focuses mainly on DD with minor support spells (focusing on Water and Holy magic)

    Also, Archer - Bard/Ranger. Thaumaturge - BLM/Time Mage. etc etc.
