    VENTING & COMPLAINTS HERE

    *THIS IS A VENTING THREAD* COMPLAINTS-DEBATE-ARGUEMENTS APPLY

    Okay, I just saw the ARR Alpha video #3 and i'm finally going to make a thread just to release my vent.

    JUMP - 1 or 2 ppl on that Update thread nitpicking about the JUMP not being realistic enough and that it's a distraction.

    One thing I want to vent about most is about this JUMP thing that some people are complaining and (pretty much demanding from SE) is that it's not realistic enough! Like SERIOUSLY! do you want it to be realistic as if frame by frame animation like in real life?

    If you don't want to jump over fences and rocks don't jump over it! As a matter of fact, don't use the jump button period! Here's a tip for you - Disable your keyboard and gamepad jump. That's will solve your problem on jump that you don't like!

    As for it being distraction when other's jump around you, sorry, but nobody can help you here. Only you can help yourself.


    NOTE* This is in no way saying I dont want people to provide their feedback, because I encourage people to provide feedback/response just as much as Yoshi-P does. Everyone is entitle to provide their feedback and so does everyone should be entitle to their venting.

    I wonder if anybody who complains about jumping not being realistic has ever played Dissidia Final Fantasy.

    They would probably die from seizures.

    But seriously. The way they cast spells in this game is not realistic.

    Nah, the spells I cast aren't realistic. The way I cast them are. Unlike this game.

    I'm convinced one sneaky Alpha tester said "Let's jump during the live letter so we can see how many U.S threads we can create."

    The animations in dissidia are nicely made and the characters have natural body movements. The animation in ARR is still horrible so it looks like crap, with unnatural body movements, unlike dissidia.

    The animations are still the same as 1.0 based on Hyur and Miqote race. I don't see any difference with how the animation running movement compared to 1.0, other than besides the instant stop after running and coming to a stop, which 1.0 does it better compared to alpha.

    Only difference here is the running is on locked mode. The jumping animation combine with the running and stopping and running jump makes it looks like it's choppy because there is only few frames added to the animation.

    Only thing i notice difference is because this time around there's jumping and so far they haven't added extra frames for jumping animation for that which makes it looks a tiny tad stiffed. But other than that, it's still damn good.

    I don't know about you but the animations is good unless there's something wrong with you eye's refresh rate.

    You posted this reply to me in a different thread and I responded there, but no, no, the animations are not the same. The entire movement system is different. You need to look more closely if you can't see how things have changed. To say they are the same is quite frankly ridiculous. You think everyone is just imagining things? Pretty much only the running forward and maybe running from rest is the same and everything else looks sloppy.

    Dissidia is mad fun!
    We need to see more Weaponskills in ARR that take inspiration from the visuals and animations in Dissidia ;D
