Thread: Probably been asked before: Race Options.

I've been away from FFXIV and only really started paying attention to news again since 2.0 Global Alpha invite date was revealed.

I keep seeing threads about and screenshots with Miqo'te, but nothing about Highlander/Roeg females. I've tried using the search function, but I get too many random threads to sift through.

So my question.. Has there been any news from devs/magazines/whatever regarding whether these other options are still going to be included in ARR?

Look at the latest Producer's Live Letter (you'll find it in the news section on Lodestone for sure). They show all the races there, including the new options.

female roengadin for sure, female highlander i don't know for sure. However, you can see some of the new options in the live letter 4°

Every race will have male and female genders

yoshi is also considering a dragon-ish race and because of seemingly popular demand Vierra (porn bunnies)

Hoping there'll be something that will make them stand out more from Midlander females. Was wanting to start fresh with ARR and will probably make a Highlander Female (Will keep my Elezen Male though..incase I get the urge to try some 50 content while I level).

Also you need to remember that for ARR Alpha footage they have warned us that the only two races avaiable are hyur male and miqote female. Quite possibly in order to simplify the alpha client's coding
