Oh hey, look at this thread. I'm enjoying the massive ammounts of hyperbole and hate being thrown at people just because they dont like something you do. You sure got the reacting like rational mature individuals down pat in here.

I'm not sure I would call it hate in this thread. It seems more like a mockery of how trivial some arguments are. I will say from the idea of being a thread where people should vent, it turned to a comedic stand, but that's not a bad thing.
I liked every post on the first page of this thread. OP and everyone else earned it after I had just come out of the other jump thread.
Good show chaps, you give me hope in this community <3
I'm guessing most of those people complaining about jumping has played the game Tera. Because all the things requested seems to reflect what the game has in regards of landing and dropping from higher heights.
When jumping forward, the character would hunch down and almost stagger before resuming to run. And when dropping from a higher height, the character would land on all fours and stand still for a quick second. Longer if you fell down with damage inflicted.
I for one, don't care about jumping at all. After all, it was only added to satisfy the masses and not for gameplay.

The animations in dissidia are nicely made and the characters have natural body movements. The animation in ARR is still horrible so it looks like crap, with unnatural body movements, unlike dissidia.
The animations are still the same as 1.0 based on Hyur and Miqote race. I don't see any difference with how the animation running movement compared to 1.0, other than besides the instant stop after running and coming to a stop, which 1.0 does it better compared to alpha.
Only difference here is the running is on locked mode. The jumping animation combine with the running and stopping and running jump makes it looks like it's choppy because there is only few frames added to the animation.
Only thing i notice difference is because this time around there's jumping and so far they haven't added extra frames for jumping animation for that which makes it looks a tiny tad stiffed. But other than that, it's still damn good.
I don't know about you but the animations is good unless there's something wrong with you eye's refresh rate.
Just because someone said this.. The animation could have more weight - characters jump as if they weigh nothing there is no mass to the movement and it all happens with too much fluidity.
But honestly im still crying on the inside with the joy of being able to jump.
The problem with adding more weight is that, people will start complaining that the characters jumps too slow...
As you can see, there is weight added to when you are landing from a jump. The characters are bending 90 degrees after landing from a jump and the animation happens very quickly which leads to some people not able to catch it.
I think it's good as is, since we want to keep it fast pace and no thanks for slow-motion jumps.
