I don't think your immersion is any more important than my enjoyment of standing on tents and other such structures throughout the world, where I can take nice screenshots, enjoy the view, and act silly with friends. I don't care if the tent would collapse with a bunch of people on it, it doesn't rile up my jimmies in the slightest.

If they made the tent collapse I would still try to jump on it with a large number of people, because we enjoy a bit of tomfoolery. If they put up invisible walls I would be pissed, and would spend a large portion of my time at that same tent attempting to glitch through the barrier anyways, ruining your immersion.

And even putting my enjoyment of tent hopping aside, how does this really affect you? What is forcing you to stand around staring at that handsome devil fooling around on top of that tent? This isn't a core gameplay mechanic; it isn't something you can be constantly harassed with (what are they gonna do? uproot the tent and make it follow you?). If it really bothers you, then just leave, or look in another direction and continue about your business instead of trying to ruin the fun for the rest of us.
