Moogle are beastmen and the king is the primal he was not really going to come out it was going to be titan but due to what happen in japan they ended up releasing the primal for the moogle. There will be two types of primal fights in 2.0. Roaming primal encounters that gives you access to summon them and a regular primal fight (enter through a cave type of fight) for the weapon drops. As for you assuming moogle will stay because he is a primal, I've never thought of him as one. I'm not even sure he is considered a primal, they are the gods of the beast tribes and I don't think moogles are beastmen.

That was my point, its why I said he wasn't planned to begin with so I was wondering if he would return. 2.0 seems like the most convenient way of getting rid of something that wasn't supposed to be there in the first place.

Except they were meant to be there, concept art for the Moogle weapons appeared before Garuda weapons. Course that doesn't mean they were designed in that order, but they did show us the Moogle weapons in the early concept art in the pdfs. Just with the timing of natural disasters we got Good King Moogle Mog instead of Titan, but at least now we know more about Primals in a lore point of view.
