Also, does Legacy have nothing to do with whatever ARR CE is sposed to offer? I can't see myself buying another upgrade to CE, after already buying the upgrade to CE, and supporting XIV since launch and getting Legacy.. Geez WHAT ELSE DO YOU WANT FROM ME SE! (Apparently another ~$25... sigh..) Unless ARR CE comes with a Bahamut mount or something epic like that, I think ima pass this time..

Ya, this is kinda how I feel. I would like to have a CE for this game but do I really need to buy it again? I could only imagine the disappointment the European players had when they for their nice new MOLDY collectors mug... the only thing I get any use out of from my CE is the security token, but I don't think anyone would have wanted to steal my account.

Onion Helm. In game bonus for all chr. created on your account. Accessible by entering a code that only came with the 1.0 CE and entered on the SE account management page.

I'd love to find out about 2.0 CE. I'm actually holding out on pre-ordering the PS3 game so far to find out if there will be a CE!

Your talking about "upgrading our accounts to CE" when all FFXIV service accounts are the same (well except legacy) there are no CE and standard accounts, all there is, is an extra code on our service accounts for the Onion helm (as far as the accounts go) if they wanted to add any CE in game items to our accounts, all they would do is email us a code, punch that in SE account management and we have the items (if they decide to improve it to allow already created characters to get the items) there is no upgrading needed.

I wanted to know if there was a similar feature for non CE (1.0) players. I get that the discount might not be as "discounty" but it would beat buying a 90$ game for a few digital items.

Either I read it horribly wrong and its "anyone with an account" can get the discount or they have some way of telling.

And I got a Rein but I swore a NA Rep said something about it.

Y: With both PS3 and PC for the package we will have the ARR FFXIV out. Of course we are thinking about ARR FFXIV specials for early reservations or collectors edition but for those with current collectors edition it will be possible to upgrade to ARR collectors edition though online update. We are currenting making adjustments.

Another question I get from reading this is - if we go the upgrade route does that mean it will be impossible to obtain the physical ARR CE contents?
