question about primals in opening movie

Lets not forget that among these "primals", we have others like Fenrir (in which there is concept art in the official realm reborn website), Carbuncle; if you count it as some lesser primal. And Cait-Sith; perhaps another lesser primal ? Some other recurring ones I'd like to see are, "Alexander", "Giant Cactuar", "Siren", heck, even "Diabolos" would be pretty bad ass to see

I saw something that's making me think alot about the opening when the airship fell after that "dragon" hugged it..

when the "hero" fell he saw Ifrit, Titan and many other primals .... my questions are:

1- Where did they come from? airship?

2- How many primals are total?

1. Short answer, the explosion from the impact and the Ceruleum engines that were triggered when the Agrias and Midgarsormr collided with the Silvertear Lake.

2. Countless. But the known ones:
Amalj'aa - Ifrit
Ixali - Garuda
Kobold - Titan
Sahagin - Leviathan
Sylphs? - Ramuh (still questioned because we don't have all the details about who gets Ramuh, just that the Sylphs refused to summon their Primal in the storyline at the time)
Gigas? - Shiva (they hinted at Gigas being the name but it could be changed by now)
Moogles - Good King Moogle Mog

Elder Primals: Odin and Bahamut (Bahamut possibly being Dravnian Primal or one of theirs)

ermmm I am pretty sure that "Garuda" is really Pheonix... looks more like a Pheonix. Not the Garuda we have come to know.

Nope nope nope, see you're seeing it like I did! lol Yah doesn't she look like a big bird? that's not a beak though thats like a wing.

It does look like the profile of a bird but once you see Garuda's actual face it cannot be unseen (Unless you squint)

Nah it's like an optical illusion with that beak like wind protrusion jutting out from behind her face.

Squint at it and you can see a bird.


It's sorta like that old or young lady illusion to me <,<; It's not intentional but it has the same effect to me.
