Gotta love these arbitrary definitions of what is and isn't time travel.

No, though some people might argue for Rip Van Winkle, which is widely considered a time-travel narrative. However, how does being "sent beyond the reach of time" equate to cryogenic sleep? It seems like you're handily conflating the two.
As far as what's been shown to us, the characters are moving between two different points in time, unaffected by time's passage relative to Eorzea. See time dilation.
By reading this, you time traveled a few seconds into the fuuuuture.

The most important thing I wanted to say in my post, is that I hope that Yoshi has a LONG story and make the game evolve and move into that line. I'm hoping to live the same story for years, not different stories with different characters each expansion pack, like FFXI or WoW expansion model, if we get expansions, I want them just empowering the same story and moving it forward.
The whole year dalamud event was even more epic because we could feel the development of the story in game, with the meteor growing in the sky, changes in the world, etc... I'd just like that but on a bigger scale, for 6 -7 years or more, and the Chrono Trigger way of story telling and to introduce new locations and such was really well tied, so I would like something similar with this game.

As for the power of the echo, we really don't know much about it. We could be reading and manipulating memories as far as we know.

That's exactly what the Echo is.
The Echo allows the user to dive into the usee's memories, and experience them firsthand as though they were happening right before the user's eyes; and, to an extent, you can interact with that person's memories and manipulate them, and they WILL have an effect on that person. But the changes of a memory only effect that single person and nobody else.
The Echo isn't so much time travel as it is diving into a person's subconscious to view their memories in real-time.

Ah, thanks for the clarification. I haven't been keeping up with that side of the story really. That's exactly what the Echo is.

So yeah, no time travel has really occurred yet.

Yup. But there are some people that realize what you did. Like that one Seedseer that gets pissed at you for using Echo on her.
