This is in no way a troll question, but can anyone please explain me the reason of "locking out" some keys? Like the arrows? I mean why can't we assign page up and page down to change target modes? Why can't we assign the arrow keys to move the camera or to move the character? Is there any reason to "lock out" certain keys for those commands? I am used to play in a certain way. RPG or MMORPG I always use the same keyboard layout, which makes it easier for me to play. I use the same (or at least as much as possible) layout for Dragon Age, World of Warcraft, Final Fantay XI, but for some reason I can not adjust Final Fantasy XIV layout to my own wishes. No game released in the 21st century should be this limited. That it is going to be released on a console is no reason at all to gimp keyboard use.

I love Final Fantasy XIV. I defended Square Enix, the development team and Final Fantasy XIV against all the trolls on those forums, but this is one of the few small things that really annoy the *peep* out of me.

Please Square Enix, please, I beg you ... let us adjust every single binding.
Please SE. Please do this. I need my arrow keys to be camera controls.
