I like that they had dances in XI that were shared by all races and sexes, regardless. It would only make sense, considering how many generations the races of Eorzea have shared a culture by now.

It would be interesting if they actually hired a dance choreographer or someone that could actually come up with new dances based on the world setting, type of music that probably exists, instruments used, etc.

Really? The current ones are fine? They're so lifeless and downright awful it's almost painful to watch. I'm not asking for "WoW like" dances. I'm asking for dances with actual life and passion.

An Irish Jig wasn't really my idea of a fun up to date dance for my avatar to do but I would love something sexy? funny? at least up to date with world culture today... It might be cool to do a ball room dance with your friend if you request a dance? or have group dance like /join party or /join dance? Just an idea.

Hey, I'm Irish and I LOVED the Irish Jig in the game. They just need to flesh it out more. And there should not be a River Dance version of it like they have it on WoW... And Irish dancing is one of the best. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EjyljC5fSeU At the middle of the video. I saw them in concert but the guy doing the Irish dancing was different. You could see the dust in the air when the dancer performed on the board. But yeah, don't knock off Irish dancing. They just need to improve it in ARR

Out of all the emotes only a few are actually good. /pose for most races and gender work rather well, but you get to dance and well, they are all kinda "robotic" lacking any energy to them. Roe Dance makes me giggle every time I see it cause it looks like they are trying to "dance" but are too focused on form rather then the energy of the dance. Why do people dance? Cause it's fun and exciting. Give us dances that show our fun and excitement when we are dancing; maybe even give us multiple dances. I might not dance myself but I can tell most people are having fun when they are dancing.

Just give us like 4 types of dances:

Dance 1 = Racial Dance
Dance 2 = Swing Dance
Dance 3 = Disco Dance
Dance 4 = Rock 'n Roll Head banging

SE could do some dances from around the world, like, India, Egypt, etc.

Now i'll admit I don't mind the Miqo'te dance at all ...just wish it looped, with a little more flare/switch up to make it longer.
