It is still however in their best interest to keep us pysched as we can be their word of mouth.

Who then would get others (non-previous players) involved and start watching, and those people dont get a free try so SE needs to then maintain the hype. Otherwise they may try another comparable (mmorpg) and not want to come over because they are already 100 hours into it.

I'm pretty sure you way misinterpreted what I meant - and where extremely rude in the processes.

I said people who already are in game will of course come back we get a free trial of ARR. But people WE show the game to that DONT have an account have no reason to come (for the first time) if they start another MMO while waiting for SE. (lots of buddy passes could help prevent a part of this) But also keeping a good hype machine is another good idea.. lol

It's the lack of communication that does it.

I can see it now, 4-5 weeks of no new videos and no explanations and then suddenly "Sorry guys, we've been really busy!".

It pisses me off because you can always just keep us apprised, tell us that there's not going to be videos for a few weeks, I'm sure we'll be less irked that way than just stark silence.

Oh I'll also be annoyed at how readily people will defend them, when they decide to go completely silent for several weeks. "But guys they're busy!!!" Jesus Christ, how much work is it to just explain what's happening on the forums whilst you're waiting for something to render. It takes like 5 minutes.

See I'm getting pissed off over something that hasn't even happened yet.

I can understand being busy..but at the same time..it really doesn't take much work to slap in some screenshots or make a write out, like they did pre-launch party for 1.0.

Hell they're still dead silent about XI's new expansion, when by now there would be at least some teaser info on the expansions website in the light of ToAU/CoP..but can blame ARR for that just like you can blame 1.0 for WoTG's 3 year life span on content completion.

Like it was said before though, if you notice after every major update/event there's dead silence for the next few weeks..so with them taking a break next week..it's honestly iffy if we'll get something even though they mentioned weekly videos.

That game is just spiraling off the deep end and I really don't think it's fair to put them on the same pedestal as the FFXIV team.

Just my opinion, but i think knowing too much before a game release, takes away the excitement of finding out surprises when you are playing the final release version.

I wouldn't be surprise if there's an update on the Lodestone Board or forum update section next week before Thanksgiving

Besides, Global Alpha is releasing soon if it all goes according to plan.

Whilst I respect that some people can feel that way, it's always an option for them not to watch videos or read news posts.
