Well maybe check his char, maybe he has a gladiator high enough, I might keep something like that for when I can use it. Especially in this game where having more then one job at 50 isn't impossible.

The OP mentioned the guy in question didn't have a single point in GLA, otherwise yes this is true. If the guy does have a high enough GLA, then he won it fair and square.

Ahhh I missunderstood him, I was thinking he just hadn't seen him play gladiator my bad. I might still keep it myself IF it was something neither of us needed, but would probably either offer, or least sell it if the other guy needed it more then me at the moment.

Hah, thanks. I've been planning on making a sig like this for a few weeks, but never got around to it.

Anywho, back on topic:
As others have been saying, the most you can really do at this point is blacklist and avoid him/her, especially if they don't have their GLA up high enough to be close to being able to use it. If you want to take it a step further in case the person pulls this regularly, warn people about it (without being annoying about it, of course) and see if such activities are common for them.
