So .... What's the Lore?

I played this game since the launch time .. But

I never watched any Lore CS or read anything about the story-line..
I played it to Play .. So
Is there any place i can read the main story ... cause i feel like I miss a very important thing..

Oh! I found some interesting tidbits in that collection I just linked. Like this one:

I'm glad someone made this post, since it was something I wanted to look into myself. I'm especially curious about the racial lore since there was alot of it in FFXI, and the races seem to get along better in this one, so I'll be curious to know why that is. I found a little bit on the ffxivcore website, but it was still fairly limited.

Why play a FF game if you are just going to skip all the story? If you are to lazy to pay attention to what is going on I don't see why others should fill you in.

FF games are most always, story heavy based games. Doesn't make sense that you would skip the dialog and cs. Well I know there are some youtube videos out there that make tribute to FFXIV. Most of them tell the whole story of whats going on. without the dialog.

I'll actually be launching a lore-bank soon that encompasses all of 1.X - I'm just waiting to get a few crucial answers before I really start giving it a go.

I definitely will go back re-check the cs once server is up again. Please just ignore the thread if u cant offer any help(s) or you feel bad to sharing ffxiv lore.
