Even tho everything was doable with a balanced group, the way SE made the content, it was doable 'Better' with a specific setup. Like having 4 BLM at the beginning of AV speed runs, then 3 of them change to monk prior to Meiser. Sure we can blame the players all we want, but who can blame people for wanting the setups that give the lowest chance of having their time wasted.

It's the same for how THM is used for this or that fight instead of BLM. It's because SE made the fight that way.

I believe even if they kept speed runs in ARR, more people would slowly go away from that since TP will be full instead of needing to be built up, everyone will have BLM burn powers. Thats basically what the problem with that was. BLM could just kill everything by walking up and pressing the spell button, while others had to build their TP first.
