Why are lalafel never cast as hero?

You know what? Watching the "End of an era" trailer, it strikes me that diminutive races like tarutaru and lalafel are never cast as main hero (or villain).

Would be awesome sauce if we have a Lalafel warrior doing that awesome WS in the trailer instead of the meh Hyur, or a Lalafel Louisoix.

SE, stop putting Lalafel only in stereotype roles like black mage or white mage or as comical side-relief. Give them a bigger role!

I'd assume because seeing someone who is more human looking tends to stir up a stronger emotional connection.Where as a something like a lalafell would be more of a comic relief or highly intelligent strategist style hero.

Actually I believe in FFXI taru had a huge impact as one of the very strong race compared to the rest due to their high intelligent which in return their powerful magic spells.

Yeah, I have to agree that Shanny was the original little person hero. In this series, Louis will be set as our hero. It will be nice to have an Elf as our hero. Even though he may be gone :-(
