Hey I just met you, and this is crazy!
But there's leaks up, read it maybe?
Sorry, I tried. A lot of crap you suggested is either being implemented in
2.0, or exists in xi.
Also, what? What purpose is there making you change your job just in your housing?
What's wrong with being able to change your job on the fly to make your party more versatile?
D-did I just feed a troll?
why do people, that find this game soooo boring and bad even care of opening a thread here? 9 likes on the OPs post ? 10 People that should rather go back to ffxi then if they think ffxiv sucks.
* Bah and noticed necro.
If SE want this game to stop having such a medicore subscription base then I'm afraid it NEEDS to be more like other MMO's.
Might be painful to hear but as it stands, SE just cannot continue FFXIV with the severe lack of players. 2.0 needs to succeed otherwise it's 'bye bye FFXIV'. They will not keep it open to appease a handful of players when they are losing so much money.
No, i'm not anti FF, i'm not pro WoW, you just have to be realistic about these things.
other then totally changing this into an FFXI clone which I don't want, and you seem to desire; SE has done what it can in the current engine for the game to fix these. THAT is why they have been making a new engine for the game. It can't be fixed in Crystal Tools.
SE failed in FFXI as well. Tanaka decided long ago that he didn't want to raise the cap past 75 because he feared how it would effect Jobs and people playing them. Other jobs gaining access to Convert namely. If they had raised the level cap with each expansion after RotZ, The gear would not have made thousands of pieces to pick from at level 75.
The player base for FFXI wanted the level cap increased. So they did. The only real mistake their was that they only popped out 3 expansions for Abyssea. SE could have done 5 or 6 in my opinion.
Changing classes/jobs at a set location is not good for this game.
XP lose with death, no thanks. That will create more elitism then you can imagine. We currently have no XP buffer, you want to die, and lose the ability to equip all your gear and weapons?
As far as redoing all the classes into their own type. I think that is already there. I was just leveling up GLD and MRD and the way those classes and jobs are built, they are very much defined as Tanks. I also think that SE plans to add a second job to all current classes. These second jobs will change the roles those classes play.
SE and Yoshi-p are making a new world for us. But they have also been kind enough to provide us with some content in the current world to play while waiting for that new world. This version of the game is going to go away and we are going to get an MMO that is more of a Final Fantasy game then even FFXI was. I played FFXI and enjoyed the story in it. Those of us who are paying to play now, are supporting the efforts of Yoshi-p's team by doing that.
edit: I didn't even realize this was a pointless thread from last year until right now and many of the changes now didn't exist then. lol

Ah! They're rare...! Had no idea... Thanks for the info...! That must be why I run into them at every other cut scene, and why I hear they represent almost 100% of the about-to-be-deployed postal employee population.
"Mog" house was FFXI. Moogles are supposed to be rarer according to FFXIV lore. Just for those who didn't know. o.o
I've heard some people asking for mog houses, and I know not all of them mean "mog house," but something similar.. but I have seen some people mention wanting moogles in their home or moogles to do this or that. Moogles are rare in the lore. :x
:-p
R
The storyline is base around a War so there coming out to help you it's rare for the people in eorzea to even see one moogle but for the players we have a gift we can talk and understand moogle and every language in eorzea.
