SE wants to make the game better?

first off they need to stop trying to be other mmo's, since they'll never beat wow cuz it already has its fan base locked in.
they need to drop anima and add a form of warp spell/warp items
they need to add a mog house or something like it
they need to to make you change jobs in your mog house
they need to add a painful death penalty or or there no point in dieing
they need to make aoe spells seprate from solo attack/buff/debuff spells
they need to make re-do all the classes as there own type of class(dd,tank,buff,debuff)
they need to make a real search like ffxi for finding party members and flag for party.

That's just the point though, the systems that a portion of the FFXI player base enjoyed have been mutilated in such a way that they are no longer attractive. Level cap increase, Abys, etc. make for some players who have been away from FFXI for some time but cannot bear going back.

These players need a MMO home and WoW doesn't do it for them. They instead return to their familiar friend Square-Enix for support.

This^ 10 x this, nicely said. I don't mean to bash on Yoshi, but I think I read somewhere that he was responsible for the "mutilation" of FFXI by introducing Abys etc. At least for me, a big big fan of FF11 I found it mutilating. Can anyone confirm that?

where did you read that trash? Yoshi didn't work on FFXI he even stated this was his first FF MMO to work on when he took over the job....

it is a final fantasy game the title even says it. the game has pointless jobs they have no roles, spells attacks all the same. cant search for a party member unless there already searching or you /sh. 6 months and they really didnt fix much.

FFXI was exactly what a Final Fantasy MMO should be, and XIV should have been an evolution of this -- it wasn't. This is why people "want FFXI" in FFXIV.

Or retitle this one to Rapture and no one will ever want FF features again.
