Didn't you know? If you're not 100% positive about everything then you're obviously a hater.
God, get with the times.
This. A thousand times this. A million times this. The issues they should be dwelling on are "How hard should it be to dodge Titan's Megalith Throw" and "Exactly how many drakes should be in the eighth room of the Labyrinth of Bahamut?" Not "Should we add 'Check your CIS privilege in our TOS?'" I could give a thousand reasons why these are irrelevant to what this game needs, why doing them would be a PR nightmare, but when it comes down to it, they should be investing their work in making this as solid of a GAME as possible.
So.. This is a post to bitch about other posts? Cool Imma bitch about this one.
Why do some people in the community feel the need to bitch about others attempts to bring up issues they feel relevant?
You are on the forums - you are going to find opinons you hate, you find repulsive, you think are the "stupidest ideas" you have ever came across, and people are going to do the same to you and your ideas. Welcome to the world outside your social bubble.

The irony? Here comes another one....
Agreed, Coyote. Not sure why people take such hard stances on such trivial topics. I do agree everyone is entitled to their opinion, but in the big scheme of things - no one really cares. Totally support people's right to choose. Like Ninja mentoned, if you're offended by content, hit the road.
everyone just ->![]()
then it will be alright.
I can see the hypocrisy of my own post. So yeah, I'm sorry. But I guess it just seems like there's something wrong with the top two threads being about gay marriage and sexism. That's not what these forums are intended for, as far as I can tell. Did I succumb to the temptation to bitch these people out? Yes, but it seems like the majority agrees with me.So.. Sounds like someone needs to take a break from the forums. Admittedly this place can be very exhausting at times lol. Seriously though, take a break from the forums.
Some of these things are actually important issues to some people, no matter what you might think. Whether or not the fears are actually well founded varies from topic to topic. We're in the last transitional stage of FFXIV, likely the last time we'll be able to meaningfully voice our opinions to try to convince the developers of our points of view. Once 2.0 is complete that's mostly it, there's not a ton of room for revisions and changes.
What other "important" game issues should we discuss with our very limited knowledge of 2.0? Should we go back to grass and animation threads? lol.
That's EXACTLY what these forums are for. As long as it's not just a general conversation on the topic, and it actually references the game in a meaningful way (which these do).I can see the hypocrisy of my own post. So yeah, I'm sorry.
