Really I read a fraction of that sexism thread and just thought what a bunch of crap it is. Games aren't meant to be political statements, they're meant to be games. If you can't enjoy what is made, then take your antics elsewhere.

I agree and would like to add that if this is something that people really wanna change than said people need to take the political issues up with their current state and or government and not with a game. It would serve more purpose to take the politcal debates to the government of the country they live in. Now the sexism I personally dont care, it dosent bother me one bit in fact i doubt when you are getting beat on by a mob what you look like really dosent matter.

I think you've missed the point.

They simply shouldn't have added a marriage option if they weren't allowing same sex marriages. We're in 2012.

This. A thousand times this. A million times this. The issues they should be dwelling on are "How hard should it be to dodge Titan's Megalith Throw" and "Exactly how many drakes should be in the eighth room of the Labyrinth of Bahamut?" Not "Should we add 'Check your CIS privilege in our TOS?'" I could give a thousand reasons why these are irrelevant to what this game needs, why doing them would be a PR nightmare, but when it comes down to it, they should be investing their work in making this as solid of a GAME as possible.

I can see the hypocrisy of my own post. So yeah, I'm sorry. But I guess it just seems like there's something wrong with the top two threads being about gay marriage and sexism. That's not what these forums are intended for, as far as I can tell. Did I succumb to the temptation to bitch these people out? Yes, but it seems like the majority agrees with me.
