Alot of people feel the same way.
I'm starting again on the Phoenix server in XI.
Going to experience all the old content and pretty much exclude any Abyssea stuff. If you want to join along, we can shoot the breeze about ARR and whatnot.
I started a thread here as well.
Same here. That ending destroyed my mind lol..
..and so many months to the release doesn't help. :/
@OP
Your signature is awesome, just wanted to point that out.
I made a thread last night about the same thing and I think we will be saying many more. I hope Square understand taking 1.0 away from us will only add to our frustration waiting for ARR. I can only hope they are more open and giving with information and give us access to alpha or beta.
I started feeling like this after the final save, but now the trailer was just a punch right in the feelings.
I don't want to play anything else but FFXIV, I'm on FFXI, my replay of Chrono Trigger and willing to start with a marathon from FF1 to FFXIII-2 and waiting fro AC3 from amazon, and my unfinished stroies in SWToR plus 100+ games on Steam, and some on PS3.
I think I can get entertained, but I only want FFXIV, chill in Coerthas, shout for groups, help people, start gathering, get a relic...
But in truth what I'm focusing is in my real life training, I've started running again and I'm aiming for my TKD black belt finally this year, maybe the stop will be worth it after all...
Oh my god how I ramble.
I felt this kind of void as soon as XIV was announced when i was playing XI, then i felt it again when 2.0 was announced when i was playing XIV lol. I found that for about 3 months without new information, it dies away and then i have trouble getting back in to it because ive found something else.
I reinstalled FFXI in anticipation but cant get any of my friends to come back to it and i know if i reactivate ill get bored of playing alone after a couple of hours. TERA is equally empty and my Rift duo buddy isnt playing right now, at the moment im playing .Hack G.U and pretending its an MMO lol.
I am the same, mainly logged in for a while after a patch. Played longest in February this year for about 6 weeks. Logged in on the 11th to see final event. Once I had viewed the "End of an Era" video about 10 times I thought I would buy Mass Effect 3 to pass my time then back to Guild Wars 2 but Mass Effect downloaded, ready to play and I'm still on here...
Nope. I was so sick of 1.0, I couldn't wait for it to go down. After all the videos Square-Enix has shown of A Realm Reborn, and how NOT balls slow the game was...I could hardly look at 1.0 anymore.
Yep, I feel it too. I didn't really play XIV the last months, because there weren't much to do for me. I'm not a hardcore endgamer, and I never wanted to grind all classes to 50. Still, just knowing I could log right on if I wanted to, felt good. And sometimes I did. There were times I logged on just to take a trip with my chocobo and see corners of Eorzea I hadn't seen yet.
So I try playing GW2, but... nah it ain't FFXIV.It seems so flat... in a way. Like there's no soul, just gameplay. And then there's Secret World, which has such a different setting it can't be compared. I sense it might take some days to overcome the void.
Not that I'm short of things to do, I just miss XIV.
