I really don't fear that XIV will become a wow clone. I just don't see any evidence of that happening. And to those who call the jump feature evidence... LOL!

I don't fear it. What I do fear is if the game doesn't end up being worth the time and effort spent rebuilding it. But what SE has done so far has been beyond impressive. I would think they're dipping into Swtor and GW2 to get a foundation, something to build off of, not necessarily a clone.

Yeah I think most mmo games borrow bits and pieces of WoW and other big mmo's because that's part of what attracts so many players to the games. So it would seem smart to use popular elements all the while keeping in while the unique FF realm. I think that will make a great XIV sequel.

It don't need to be a copy from GW2.
It could be an upgrade of the well known invasion live events. You know, you go there, you talk to a npc, you kill garleans and get something from the chest at the end (and a Lodestone achievement). Don't need to be in a party with the other participants if you don't want.
