Did Cid, Louisoix and others knew about Bahamut? lots of questions...

Who knew?

My guess is only Louisoix really knew. I get the impression that Bahamut has been sealed there for aeons.

Cid knew of the power of Dalamud but only in regards to the 'Meteor Project' - we have no evidence that Bahamut emerged from Dalamud his father's time.

Nael Van Darnus didn't know either. I think he saw Dalamud as first as a weapon to destroy Eorzea with, and as it got closer, he become obsessed with it and heard it speak to him (perhaps it did?). Either way, there was no evidence that Van Darnus had any knowledge of what Dalamud really was.

But Louisiox tried to recreate Dalamud when he saw Bahamut, he obviously knew what he was dealing with.

Bahamut was sealed there during or before the 4th Umbral era because we know it was the Allagans that created Dalamud, and the 4th Umbral era wiped them out. I would believe it was Bahamut himself that pretty much wiped them out, then the survivors decided to imprison him in Dalamud, makes sense.

let's say all astral eras are 1,500 years long (time since the 6th Umbral era to the 7th) that would make it around 4,500 years ago he was imprisoned.
