No... youre in here calling me a smith, so i should get out of the thread, while you yourself are a smith....I'm two smiths and a miner. I can speak for both groups. You really have no business in this topic as someone who would obviously stand to be at an advantage if your changes were implemented. You know what, this topic doesn't concern you. Go level a gatherer.
It is in the gatherers' best interest to limit production to keep work hours reasonable and prices high. That includes obviously keeping the yield caps right where they are.
Why dont you go kill some zombies or something, take a break. Clear your mind and return as a non-flamer.

It is ironic, yes. I am loyal to mining though, and its economy. It's not just a tool or a means to me.
Fine. I will not END her.
But the stench of forge smoke and dreams of cheap iron still linger on in here, and it's bothering the dancers.
And I still dont know where youre gettin this cheap ore business from. I can mine iron/limonite and silver too.
Herp derp I had gold ore before you did, I also gathered for my LS.Right the free market that drives gatherers to work like slaves because of snowballing overproduction while crafters are the ones to really benefit from screwing gathering up like you propose.
Right now RMT want nothing to do with my account. If you had your way, I'd be getting PM's right about now from them with their unsolicited quote.
My guess is you're just another crafter who wants gold ore.
That'll be 20k.

Man, you are [fill in the blank (begins with "r"), I don't want my post deleted!].
The main reason item limits exist is for the benefit of the economy. Making gathering unappealing to RMT is a side effect of this. SE really should have been more careful with how they answered this topic to prevent people like you who haven't got a clue talking about shit they don't understand.
Peregrine has figured you out quite well. You're a smith who wants cheap ore and this crusade against gathering fatigue is the result of that. Grab that pickaxe of yours and hit some rocks. You might begin to understand some day.

lol... just... lol... I guess I started out as R24 miner. Every did right?
Well whatever to the 2 or 3 people that think SE bends to their will. I posted reason why this Anti-RMT action does not prevent RMT action. there it is. there will be tons of cheap ore on the market with or without it. I wont buy it, because I would be mining it.
Did you even read this? where does it mention 'Economy'. this is an attack on RMT, an attack that effects normal players. #&@# the economy, it doesn't even exist anyways.Hello fellow adventurers!
To clear up your questions, we have checked with the Dev. team and found out the following.
As a countermeasure against RMT activities, the probability of gaining items through gathering will start to decrease after repeated attempts over a long period of time. After a certain number of attempts, items will no longer be obtainable through gathering.
To explain a little more on what goes on behind the scenes, there is an internal counter which measures how often a player has attempted gathering activities. Players will start with a maximum pool of 2,500, which will decrease by 10 each time a gathering attempt is successful and yields an item. Once this number decreases to 1,000, players will find it harder to obtain items. At 0, items can no longer be obtained through gathering.
Stopping gathering for some time will bump this number back up. The recovery rate is currently set at 100 per hour.
If you have ideas and feedback on this topic, please don't hesitate to let us know.

Yeah you see unlike most players, DoL was my main until i got tired of being shafted by pointless mechanics. Straw man more.Man, you are [fill in the blank (begins with "r"), I don't want my post deleted!].

So ignoring posts from the crazy lady who only likes to shoot missles at people, I once again reiterate that Anti-RMT countermeasures should be removed.
Comprehensive reasons:
1. It only hurts the normal player who wants to gather for his/her craft or friends crafts.
2. RMT get around it by having multiple characters to gather with. thus still getting more materials than the normal player
3. Anyone can get around it by having multiple characters to gather with. thus still getting more materials than the normal player
4. If everyone can gather what they and/or their friends need, who will buy from possible RMT? So how will they make money in the real world if no one needs to buy their product in this virtual world?
Reasons to keep Anti-RMT countermeasures
1. Because the crazy lady said so.
I laughed at this post:
1. No, it actually helps the community as a whole while also discouraging RMT.
2. This is like saying, "People who want to fish over the limit of their license can get around it by using their friend's license". Just because they can circumvent it to a small extent (not to mention costs them another account), doesn't mean the rule in place is bad.
3. See #2
4. Everyone doesn't get materials from their friends. Many people use the market (you know, the thing designed for buying/selling), and flooding it with materials would be catastrophic. The RMT would get their Gil, and players will buy it because the economy would super-inflate. Additionally, by this reasoning, there shouldn't be RMT in any other MMO that doesn't have gathering restrictions... which is utterly and completely not true.
You are looking at this from a "me, me, me!" standpoint, when you need to be looking at the big picture. It's the same reason why when people are kids and scream, "Mommy, buy me everything I want", parents don't just go ahead and do so.
When DoL is your main class in an MMO you're playing the wrong game. You should give Farmville a try. DoL is a support class. It supports your crafting or it supports everything else via gil.
I think SE was wrong to make DoL and M their own classes to begin with, it's why the story missions are boring and lack challenging fights. I hope the new development team stops treating them all as equals. And that doesn't mean you can't give them content either!

You must not have friends, because i've recieved over 11 stacks of iron nugget making materials, and over 7 stacks of iron nuggets from friends. And i am pretty sure I have in turn given away more materials than you could even Imagine. I would have over 10mil gil if I had just sold it all, for the prices they run for.I laughed at this post:
