Yeah, the anima system sort of failed I think. Even from the beginning of FFXIV. First months of FFXIV I made a ridiculous amount of money teleporting people around. (Sure, that might have been due to people being lazy and not wanting to walk from one city to another, but still. If you shout that you are teleporting for x amount, often there are takers simply cause no one wants to waste their anima when it takes a while to get it back.

The whole system just seems a bit backward.
