I agree ^^I'm probably biased as well (console FF player, too ^_^), but I'm also a WoW player. I haven't met many who found Deathwing to be something extraordinary. He's SUPPOSED to be, mind you-- he runs around with the title "Destroyer of Worlds," but frankly he wasn't very well done. Bahamut is much more consistently a harbinger of destruction; Deathwing is a good guy gone mad.
I also still think simply rocking the earth as you come out of it is no where near the display of power just showing up and laying waste to the place is.

The only way Deathwing would stand a chance is with something like the Dragon Soul (the artifact he created) paired with the focusing iris from the Eye of Eternity. Even then, Neltharion is more the type of dragon that terrorizes the mortals that are tiny specs compared to him, whereas Bahamut can more than likely stand toe to to against other gods/primals/eikons and win.Played WoW in Cata... Bahamut wins... even WoW players who have never played FF would say Bahamut wins; Deathwing is stupid.
Besides, Bahamut totally wrecked the cities. Deathwing broke some towers by the gate in Stormwind.
Also, Deathwing's destruction looks more like a major earthquake while Bahamut's is an Armageddon.
* The sad thing is that FFXIV turned RDM into a turret, and people think that's what it's supposed to be. It's supposed to combine sword and magic into something more, not spend the bulk of gameplay spamming spells and jump into melee for only 3 GCDs before scurrying back to the back line like good little casters.
* Design ideas:
Red Mage - COMPLETE (https://tinyurl.com/y6tsbnjh), Chemist - Second Pass (https://tinyurl.com/ssuog88), Thief - First Pass (https://tinyurl.com/vdjpkoa), Rune Fencer - First Pass (https://tinyurl.com/y3fomdp2)
Bahamut probably existed already before most those punks comparing them two and saying FF ripped off Deathwing were born so yeah Bahamut wins i doubt he would let you jump on his back LOL ( i haven't played WoW but saw a video of it)

Bahamut.
Faster speed (Flew to Limsa and back in an instant.), larger historic pedigree (several game incarnations) World Reconizable attacks (Megaflare).
Deathwing is a dragon one of many dragons in the older Warcraft lore. Bahamut is the king of dragons in the various Final Fantasy Lores. A central figure of true leadership and wrath.

Bahamut would win~
How was Deathwing even contained? Wasn't he 'put to sleep' or something?
Bahamut was such a badass, they trapped him in an orbital prison. BAM.
Bahamut is consider like another god of sort, seperate from other god because he's so damn powerful, and SE truly portray him that way consistently too.

Deathwing was never "contained"... pretty much he gets his butt kicked and he goes running off to the plane of earth "Deepholm" to hide and heal... Then guess what when he is healed he pops out of the plane of earth which is what causes Azeroth to shift and be changed... Deathwing didn't really do it himself it was pretty much just an effect of him opening a portal/hole from Deepholm to Azeroth. Oh and guess what... He comes back and gets his butt kicked again and this time dies... so I don't think Deathwing can win... since he is now dead...

Bahamut was never really beaten... I believe what happened was he was summoned by the dragons during the 3rd astral era and the Allagan empire at the time used a sealing device they had made to lock away the elder primal and put him in place near the moon... This way the dragons would lose power having lost their "god". Heck they probably didn't even fight him... just let him run low on aether and before he could recharge hit him with the seal...
Anyways this topic is sort of silly... and here is the last bit of fun... as a primal Bahamut can never be killed since he can always be re-summoned just like the other primals... Deathwing is dead and gone...
The cat is bemused =-.-=
Deathwing is dead Bahamut never dies!
Don't know what a deathwing is, but I hope it goes well with BBQ.
