Someone mentioned in some other thread that we return to a sort of mother crystal a central part of the aetheric rivers that we use to travel from aetheryte to aetheryte and are held there in stasis and then released when the time was deemed necessary fro the adventurers to come back. Speculation most likely, but aetheric rivers are a big part of 14, while the crystal staple is a big one in FF (especially in the likes of 11 biggest example is Promathia expansion). Maybe right who knows?
I too got the impression we were teleported elsewhere, not necessarily into the future, but like some void, where we lie in a dormant state until the land recovered from the catastrophe.
As for stopping Bahamut, I do believe the primals intervened after Louisoix tried. Lets not forget the beastmen (amalj'aa, kobold, ixali) also had a need for survival so they probably invoked their primals once they saw what was going on.

Your theory of Primals intervening, is this stated some where? I would like to read about that. I am not trying to be sarcastic here, I brought this up in game and got flamed for it and would love to use your information as backing for my theory as well.I too got the impression we were teleported elsewhere, not necessarily into the future, but like some void, where we lie in a dormant state until the land recovered from the catastrophe.

It's just that, a theory. But if anything should be a clue, it was the wall scroll they had in the background on the Live Letter from the Producer.
Other than that, I mean, what ELSE could really take on Bahamut on that level? Louisoix was done, the Twelve were done, the Garleans weren't going to intervene. The beastmen sure as hell had a say in the future of their own races as well, so we shouldn't forget that they too could have had tricks up their sleeves.

That and if you go to the end of the End of a era video you can hear Horse noises and other noises as louisoix was being obliterated. As far as i'm aware there were no horses on the battlefield so....It's just that, a theory. I don't really know about the whole "horse thing"..where would Odin even come from? Was he just cruisin' by and happened upon a battlefield?
To me that "horse" just sounds like feedback from Bahamut screeching as he prepared his Flare.

You do know that there is going to be another cinematic trailer for ARR? The one that shows those same adventurers (the WAR, BLM, WHM, PLD, and BRD) riding on chocobos and with Grand Company flags? Not to mention that it contains Odin as well. There is another one planned once we get closer to the Beta/release of the game that concludes the End of an Era about those characters coming out of the past.I keep reading people's interpretation of the final cutscene being that Louisoix teleported "the adventurers" five years into the future. Now, I know that 2.0 is supposed to be five years later, but is there any actual evidence to support what thus far seems to merely be speculative fan theory that Louisoix used time magic? I've heard he's associated with "the god of time and space," but what's to simply say he didn't warp them to a safe location elsewhere -- it could even have simply been in an airship, as we saw the Imperials in one above during the finale. It could be Ishgard -- imagine if we start 2.0 there! Or any number of locations.
I guess I'm wondering why there is such a widespread assumption that the adventurers were warped through time itself to five years later. Has this been confirmed by Yoshi or anyone official, or is this all just purely speculation at this point?
Odin or Odin and the other Primals too.
Where did Atomos come from? That much aether does not go unnoticed least of all by primals.
