Highly doubt Old/New Gridania exists anywhere else outside of Eorzea and if you have played any game with any form of time travel there's obvious footprints that you're in a different time in the same land. What happened between those 5 years is anyone's guess.

It's been long confirmed since TGS that ARR takes place 5 years after the 7th UE events.
