Summary is hard to do...
There are a lot of things to say!
I'll try again more deeply!

Eorzea and all world is composed by this energy.. called Aether.. so everything is made with aether.. from the little rock to you.
All Primals live in the Void (like a limbo) where they haven't a body but just an essence.. when someone call him in the world (beastmen) they have to absorb all aether... and of course this slowly kill the entire world!
And This is why all People don't want beastmen calls the primals..

Long time ago the ancient civiliziation called Allagan create an artificial satellite called Dalamud (only now we discovered that not a satellite but a prison for bahamut)..
For some reason Allag tried to call Dalamud down with Meteor.. but fails and their civilization disappear in a night (this prob is bahamut's fault ) and even the transmitter for take down dalamud..

Garlean Empire discovered this information on the Ancient Spell Meteor and in some way they re-create the transmitter... and tried, but for some reason they fail (seems for cid's fault and a bad transmitter) and destroied bozja citadel... So cid understood the evilness of Garlean Empire and run away.. found refuge in uldah..

After years, Darnus trying to get down again Dalamud... this time with a good transmitter.. (probably he was under bahamut influence? ).. Darnus persuade the Emperor for his plan.. but Baelsar know that this not a good thing.. and even Darnus not the same of before.. (Explain this in Living on a prayer if i remember well)

So, Louisoix discovered that dalamud was falling down.. and first thought was maybe ifrit's fault.... so asked to us to kill him! but when we kill him nothing happens...

meanwhile garuda arrive and explain to us that primals for surviving with a body need aether.. a lot of aether..
and when we defeat her she told a thing like this: "No! You can't have my power!" with the hand on Dalamud.. (seems a bit clear now )
BTW everytime we defeated a primal darnus appears thanking to us..

after all stories we found the transmitter (even with the help of Baelsar) and we destroy it!
But Dalamud still falling...
So, we found the hide of Darnus and we kill him.. after this he disappear in aether and absorbed from Dalamud...

Louisoix ask to us to pray all twelve cuz we need to evoke them.. even if this made world die a lot (cuz Twelve haven't a body like primals.. and like primals they need aether).. but is a bad thing needed cuz dalamud impact is near and the twelve was the only solution...

Even Baelsar seems know that inside Dalamud was something... something that get control of Darnus..

Btw at the end dalamud "crashes" Bahamut get free with all aether absorbed and when all archons tried to pray for get twelve.. they fail for some unknown reasons (maybe bahamut more strong or maybe they haven't enough aether to absorb).. so He use last final attack for killing everyone.. and louisoix for save us, teleport us 5 years in the future..

most interesting thing was surely Baelsar knew tha something was in dalamud (call dalamud: big red sin if falls) and probably even Darnus..
Cid maybe don't know.. maybe even louisoix don't know.. or discovered only last cutscenes p

In conclusion there are only some unknown point.. like over-aspected aetheryte...

btw my summary is a bit confusing.. but sry cuz i'm not mothertongue english and the story is really hard to explain p
