Speaking objectively, what is the likelihood you will be back in ARR?

How much of a factor is the downtime going to play?

I'm expecting to loose at least 30% of my friends on Excal to this transitional phase.

I will be back for sure. I cannot wait to return!

100% I will be back, unless we see what looks like a complete repeat of 1.0's Beta into release... which I doubt.

'til then, I'll be using the down-time catching up on some console gaming and working on some personal projects that I've been neglecting far too long.

100% I will be back, time is not a factor I would prefer 1 year's delay and the game succeed than it get rushed out on time and be severely broken.

I really don't care how long it takes, I'll be playing ARR when it comes out. Whether or not I stay will depend on their design choices.

Even if 2.0 sucks for some reason (which I think I can safely say.....won't happen given that they're putting soooooo much into the game now), I'd still be back, to play with all my old and new-found friends in this community!

I will most definitely be back! ffxi is broken, and I'm tired of saying "remember the good ol' days?" It's frustrating because you know that your home is with Final Fantasy, but you can't go back to xi because it's not the same. I'm hoping that 2.0 will become that new place where we can say "Finally home again."

same thing i feel.
i hope ARR get that sense of being able to have fun and not do anything feel. you can just log in then the hours fly by like the old FFXI.
