Bahamut Story Arc theory.

Hmm, i am kind of taking a shot in the dark here but in Final Fantasy IV Bahamut was the eidolon that was on the moon (also i read somewhere that the moon Bahamut lived was called red moon but i dont really remember that detail from when i played it) and since in XIV his prison was an artificial red moon, maybe our primal is Asura, the Queen of eidolons in Final Fantasy IV. She could be the one singing as well :P

I'm wondering if anyone recorded the 1.0 story-line cutscenes to look over. I really would love to go back over the scenes to find clues as to possibly what has happend in the past as well as upcoming events. SE has once again peaked my story-craving instincts like no one else but they can lol!

As far as I could tell from the End of an Era Trailer, the "keys" that fell from Dalamud were the "power" of the Twelve to seal Bahamut, just as Lousioux and the others were trying to re-do but failed. Again I need/would love to go back over the cutscenes and take a deep look into them!

I've recorded every cutscene "cleanly" from the journal (no ui/textboxes cluttering the screen) and in 1080. Only ones I don't have are some job quests (only had paladin and dragoon to 50).

I've recorded every cutscene "cleanly" from the journal (no ui/textboxes cluttering the screen) and in 1080. Only ones I don't have are some job quests (only had paladin and dragoon to 50).

I'm not entirely sure where I should post this theory, but here goes. Upon rewatching the opening CS of XIV, we saw that Midgardsormr was attacking the empire and laid to rest in Moh Dhona releasing all of the primals. This was the birth of the primals which set out to take new refuge onto the land. Bahamut was the only one who was not summoned because he was already imprisoned in Dalamud, thus meaning he is not a primal. Nael knew that Dalamud was more than a lesser moon as he referred to all primals as "False gods." I have a strange belief that Nael knew that Dalamud was actually the prison of Bahamut and felt that Bahamut was the one true god to cleanse the impurities of the land.

Just my theory.

I just want to see Deus van Darnus return ala NeoExdeath. Would be so awesome if his pure desire to cleanse the world brought him back from the void/has him to regenerate within Bahamut's labyrinth.

I just want to see a crazy amalgamation of Amano design style boss again. Either that or something Necron-esque.

If you take knowledge we DO have, it's safe to assume that a powerful Wyrm/Dragon can speak to people whether they're imprisoned or sleeping. Nidhogg speaks to and controls the Dragoon from the AF Quests, so you could say Van Darnus might have been controlled by Bahamut. I'm not sure if we can rule out Bahamut not being a Primal as we don't really have a safe definition of what they truly are. You could also assume that Bahamut tells Van Darnus that the other Primals are false gods and that only he (Bahamut) is the true god. Bahamut could easily be The One that Ifrit speaks of but I'm not so sure, even with Odin I wouldn't be sure that HE was The One. Got a feeling this goes really deep. So many cards need to be brought to the table:
Ascians, Paragons, Dravnians, the rest of the Archons. Whomever taught the Garleans about the Primals or where they learned about the Primals and their power, and Ishgardians. I have a feeling many of these answers are in Ishgard, they're more of religious zealots than the other 3 city states so I'm just assuming and hoping (lol) that they have more passed down knowledge.

Thanks for the compilation of cut scenes and videos! I almost forgot the Opening Intro CG and when looking back at it now, is that the past he envision when he touched that card during the CG at the table?

That huge serpent like with wings that breath lightning of some sort and took down that Garlean ship is that the past or present I wonder? You can see the primals shooting down into Eorzea too. Not sure either or SE had change the storyline midway 1.0?

That's Midgarsormr, Guardian of the Lake (Silvertear Lake). The Battle of Silvertear Falls took place 10 years before we appeared in the game, thats why Mor Dhona had time to change.
