The return of FF14 1.23b

So early in October in the letters to the editor, he stated that if over 30% wanted the game to come back online after november 11, then it would, and 35% wanted it back. He said a few days after the impact of dalamund, the servers would be turned back on. I hope he sticks to his promise cause after last night, I want to rewatch every single cutscene there is. Not to mention just explore a little more, even if none of what we do gets saved. Maybe go re-kill some of my favorite NMs and revisit the Slyph village that's south-east of Moonspore Grove.

no, it makes a mockery of the final cutscene then....the end was the end. Leave well alone till 2.0...All the efforts of the team should be on 2.0. Someone did post the same question earlier. If you want to watch the cutscenes theres youtube for that. As for the rest of the stuff you knew this was coming and had ample time to do it. Let the game rest in peace and lets move forward to ARR please

Meh I'm 1/2 and 1/2 I actually want it back, purely so i can carry on getting some bits of the cutscenes in different armour, I was to busy the last 2 weeks to do any real gaming or fraps...

But i do agree its over its over.. Though i'd kill to get a look at the final event solo lol...

if 35% say they would log in, i bet like 20% of that will log in more then a few times ever from now till the relaunch. personally i think it's a waist of resources that they should just spend on arr. but i'm pulling numbers out my but, but just saying no matter how much you want to log in without saves... i logged in twice since the save date and was literally for 5mins other then last nites event.

The efforts of the team won't be put on the 1.23b revival. Take the last save, reload it and let the game be. There won't be server maintenance or anything of sorts.

The game is also dead for me but I can see why people would still play it... but I strongly doubt it will reach 30%.

I loged on quite a bit after the final save, actually. ANd heck, if the GM's keep doing random stuff to keep us occupied I see no harm in still playing.

Count me as part of that 35% as I certainly voted for it.

As far as those saying "It spits on Canon." No it dosent. I actually have plans on doing a blog/series on my character being trapped in a Limbo version of Eoraza as the five years pass, which explains why she looks different/has aged when Lin Celestine returns to A Realm Reborn.

I think it is nice to have the servers up for a little while for those that want one last look, or one last adventure.

Personally, if I logged in again I would imagine that the world is just a dream that my character is having before she wakes again in 2.0.

well at least the server waste much electricity and this only that 2 peoples can "play" on a server?

the last week there were only about 100 people on my server.. i think it wouldnt be much better if the bring up the server again. even more less players.
