Non-legacy log in failure

I'm a legacy player and was unable to log in either. So quit acting like they hate non-legacy players.

all i said was thank you..... and made an emote mad face.. i have that right to be mad.... ive spent alot of dam money with SE , FFXI VET. of 6 years... i think all should have been entitled to be able to log in and see the end. why restrict it?? if all u guys are gonna do is attack me cuz im upset and ive posted it....... then flame on .
I could care less bout legacy status. should not matter how long you have been playing.all jobs 50 with all AF and Dalmud's horn to boot.Not bad for starting in July2012 .I did quite alot, and im quite pleased with the game in general.

It had nothing to do with legacy status, It had to do with if you paid up until the last day:

Currently, we are temporarily imposing login restriction on the players whose "End Date" is September 29, 2012 or before due to congestion

Are you sure the error you were getting was because they told you you were ineligible and not the same "server timeout" error that EVERYONE, including legacy members was seeing all night?

I understand your frustration but know that I was playing FFXIV since beta version, got my legacy status, even logged in a few times during the "Non-Save" week just to check it out and I too spent 2 hours trying to log into the final event with no luck.

So yes, be mad; but no, this was not "we love legacy." It was, we did not plan correctly and the event failed.

OK so change the name of my thread to FFXIV End of Game Epic Failure.SE could have done more work on it since they had plenty of time to do so.

Did you do any of the Imperial skirmishes that happened in the prior months? If so, that was the end event in a nutshell. Instead of a NPC spawning telling you where to go, you got a system message for it. The event itself was lackluster, the QQ from all the r0ing was delicious.

Aside from the end cinematic the only enjoyment I had was lurking on the forums and enjoying the drama of R0. I am Legacy/ beta etc. too but got kicked off early on and couldn't log back on.
