Thread: RIP FFXIV 1.0 ... A couple of questions

Hi all,

Sadly, I was unable to be ingame for the final event because I live in USA, east coast, and I was just exhausted to get up at 3:00 a.m. I set my alarm, but just couldn't make it ;;

To all on Balmung, Thanks for the good times and I look forward for more to come! RIP 1.0, you brought me some very good times, thank you, I look forward to more in 2.0. I have a few questions, because I have not been on top of things in the FFXIV world as of late:

1) Will the live trailer actually be shown again in its entirety?

2) Can I uninstall the 1.0 client or will we be able to login at some point?

One of the rep already said that you can un install the game since ARR will use different client

You can uninstall the game, but back up your folder in the My Documents>My Games folder. They said you can use this data to load your character model data to use as a template

Wow, that's great information. I did not know this, thanks! I backed this up before, when I reformatted my HD. I guess the macros won't work in 2.0 though.

Right, I believe they're doing something different with macros (most used for swapping jobs, which is going to be easier to do in ARR)
