Why? Maybe the interest will cause a response from the devs. The length of the thread doesn't determine when it is shut down.

At first I wasn't too interested in the alternate names but I think there were some good ones in the thread. I like the handfasting/joining one particularly.

Just don't involve drinking the blood of the darkspawn and all will be good.

I added the "yes" and the "no" votes of 476 (yes) and 130 (no), equalling 606 votes in total.
476:606=0,785; in percentage around 78,5%
130:606=0,215; in percentage around 21,5%

That would be 1/5 of votes against SSM and 4/5 of votes for it.

Awesome! I mean with numbers like that the player demand is quite clear.

If you're aloud 90000 posts about 90000 different ideas you came up with that they should implement. We are aloud to sit here and discuss on this ONE topic to our hearts content.

I have to admit, considering how long this thread has been allowed to go on, I'd say the devs have a genuine interest in the players' thoughts on this subject. So at the very least it gives me some hope that the news of SSM is a serious consideration, rather than a placation.

I don't know if I'd jump to that conclusion, but I am glad that this thread hasn't been locked yet. It's a sign that the community is calming down a bit on this particular issue, which is always good.

I really do hope they can come up with a good solution for this.

It's something. I think they know we need somewhere to discuss this though or else it would lead to a bit of an outcry. We are remaining somewhat civil...
