Like I've said, whether SE decides to include marriage or not makes little to no difference to me.Speaking as someone in the GLBT community, I find it much easier to get the facts first...before getting bent out of shape. Trust me I completely understand where you are coming from, however we are talking about a game and not reality. My gut tells me that SE will allow all marriages to happen, but who knows. If you want to make a real difference in reality then staunchly support yourself, but remember that sometimes we can agree to disagree and be respectful on both sides. Besides it always annoys the anti-glbt side when you look more mature than them.

If it's anything like in XI, its just really a thing for roleplayers or people who meet on the game and end up together. It didn't have any beneficial values to it other than I think a certificate. How about we all do this...Lets find out FIRST if there will be any benefits of being married.....If there are benefits of being married in game then we can discuss if it will only be OSM or both. Like I have already stated it would be unbalanced and unfair of SE to ask players to start a new character after putting up with all the BS we did in 1.0 just to conform to this "traditional values of marriage," based in a fantasy game in which you can cast magic and bring people back from the dead......Do I really need to mention that Bahamut destroyed the world.
The only thing that sucked there was that you had to have a sponsor/coordinator to fill out an application on your behalf, and wait months for it to happen (if you got selected for the date you chose at all)

Or not, we can discuss it now and clear the subject since Yoshida wanted our opinions, and the sooner this is over with the better. How about we all do this...Lets find out FIRST if there will be any benefits of being married.....If there are benefits of being married in game then we can discuss if it will only be OSM or both. I vote yes for same gender marriage but i wonder if there any issue allowing so in country that FFXIV is allow. Like if they if country could ban FFXIV for having same gender marriage ingame.

This what the exact reason i brought up country issue, so yes i care about if i will be unable to play because of country's restriction and close mindedness, although the chance of it being issue is probably not big, i am still not taking chances.
I came here to play not get married, get off the game if u want to experience marriage.
and is it only me or the one that keep arguing here doesnt even comes from LGBT community? jesus christ, i come from LGBT community and u people need to stop speaking for our sake when it comes to this game forum, if u want to support equality get out there with other people, wanna bet how many ppl actually never get out there to support and only sit behinds their screen? lol

Pretty sure the game will receive positive recognition.
• SE remakes XIV because it wasn't great
• SE develops original game to keep current players interested while making ARR
• XIV:ARR to have (or the equivalent of) same-sex marriage in game
Rift received positive recognition when they introduced SSM.. why would the response be any different to FFXIV:ARR?
Hmm...
Same-gender marriage... That's an oxymoron right there! w
I can see this being convenient if a married couple playing the game as the same in-game gender had wanted something to show their union, but then again, said married couple as a father and mother might not so much fancy the concept of exposing their children to a setting where something so morally debased is glorified.

Oh please don't start this again. If your post means anything but that you're an uninformed idiot, clarify now so you have no defense of this comment later.Hmm...
