oh thanks for bumping again.
the necrophilia is strong in this one.
so what about this:
should there be a kissing animation in the ceremony?

"Thy life is a river to bear rapture and sorrow
To listen to suffer to entrust until tomorrow
In one fleeting moment, from the land doth life flow
Yet in one fleeting moment for the new leaf doth grow"
holy shit this still going on? hahahha god

I thought one of the better ideas was that they shouldn't have announced for or against same sex marriage, or even call it "marriage" in-game. Just put it in and don't make a big deal out of it. How do you know they didn't listen to that one?![]()

Maybe, they didn't realize that announcing an in-game marriage was a bad idea because it already caused Americans who have freedom rights... flaming this thread! Maybe they wanted to leave it alone 1-2 years from now until then if they feel comfortable bringing up a same-sex marriage without being sued by other countries.
Yoshi-P knew Japan and America have homosexual people but not sure about other countries.
Nevertheless, like I give a shit about an "in-game marriage" because you see I am an heterosexual guy who likes to play with my beloved girl but I can't marry another woman!?! lol![]()

As I've said before, it really depends on the in-game benefits. In America marriage has legal benefits like a lower tax rate. If there are no benefits besides a ceremony, many players will end up holding their own.
That being said, I'd prefer that same-sex marriage be allowed. It's not like you really noticed marriage all that often in XI. It took place in areas that wouldn't conflict with others' gameplay (such as the mansion at the far end of Southern San d'Oria or the top of the lighthouse in Gustaberg). I actually missed the one wedding I knew about, and never saw any others before the feature was discontinued.
And again.. So now we have to have tax rates and what?As I've said before, it really depends on the in-game benefits. In America marriage has legal benefits like a lower tax rate. If there are no benefits besides a ceremony, many players will end up holding their own.

I have to file income tax in game every year and wait for my return?
Do I have to tell them how many people in my "IN GAME" hosehold are dependents and how old they are, how many there are?
This is not "real life online"....
If it becomes anything even remotely resembling that, it will fail miserably.
If you want to play "Hello Kitty I got married online and made a family and paid taxes"
Go make your own game..
