You guys can complain about this thread all you want, but I feel I should restate a couple of things.

1.) Vast majority of people who have voted in this thread (549 v 154 atm) support in-game SSM.

2.) The producer himself is the one who brought the subject up in the first place because :

4.) Yoshi is the person who makes the Lore and everything supporting it, frankly he could turn your character into a purple hippogryph and make up a crazy story about why you are now an oddly colored flying wolf creature. And it would be canon, because he's the godd*mn producer, that's why.

Thats because Some keep wating to point everything in-game back to RL issues. Thanks for reminding us all that this isn't about RL, but about the game.

The fact of the matter is that you can't separate the real from this. This wouldn't even be an issue or a debate, SE would not even have to consider whether or not to allow characters of the same gender to partner at all, if this did not tie directly in to real world society. That is directly where the initial decision came from.

You have people arguing against this because of real world concerns and in the same breath saying people can't argue for it based on real world concerns.

This is a real world social issue reflected in a video game, make no mistake about it.

I guess the main problem is, do the two getting married really love eachother? Or is it just for a tax break. And when my significant other stops playing for a year and i want to re-marry, can i get a divorce? Will they get half?
