For heterosexual it just natural to be attracted to opposite gender so when we see the opposite for us it seem unnatural or confusing to us to understand why and of course homosexual have what they consider natural who to say either side is bad. My rule is for my gay friend they no im striaght so they don't hit on me or anything and they let there friends no if out in town or anything but I don't go into gay bars or anything just rule of mine but they don't hold it against me.

While SSM in game has no direct effects in game, it can actually cause hidden society problems later, people just want what they want without thinking of the consequences and say let others deal with it. you're all just ignorant without knowing so, I'm sure none of you was born from a gay couple. and those who have a gay couple parents, what are their fault for not having a mother, or a father(in case of 2 mothers)? you are denying them a normal life. You know that if this continue on, the population will decrease?
What about all the children that were thrown away because they were the result of an unprotected sex? what was their fault? you'll tell me their parent's fault? they should have not had unprotected sex? what if they were under the influence of alcohol? you will say they shouldn't be drinking much? These things happen, do you know why? because alcohol and pre-marriage sex are legal. you're not one to talk about morality or whats right and wrong.
I never drank alcohol nor ever had pre-marriage sex, I'm 25 years old and I'm happily married and expecting my first born.

So lets just ignore all that rubbish about pre-marital sex and alcohol as it has nothing to do with the topic. I'm not sure why you bring gay adoption into this, it's a different matter. (There is an argument at least against gay adoption, though I think the positives outweigh the negatives)

Your only argument appears to be that it will lower the population.

My question is how this will happen and why it's a bad thing?

Firstly birth rates and survival rates are good, this is with homosexuality allowed. Secondly, Earth is already overpopulated and it will get worse in the future. Even if homosexuality did decrease the population (hint: it never will) it would not be bad thing.

Your arguments are terrible, just be honest and say the only objection you have is you find it unnatural.


I really am concerned with SE's naivety on this. It shows bad judgement to encourage this kind of debate and it's undoing some of the goodwill that was received from the final trailer.

Spouting straight edge morals and facts with no citations does not make a person sound like a rhodes scholar, just some one that seems to lack objectivity.

Getting back to the topic at hand and looking at the polls (ENG/JP) , it is safe to say the majority of players there does want ssm. I dont have a clue on the other forums though and it would be nice if some lovely individual could tells us whats the latest gossip there :3

Its just digital avatars.. let people do as they please without trying to make it a "morality" issue.. its a game NOT real-life. And I dont need an excuse to play a female char.. Agreed. The issue at hand is whether or not same sex marriage should be allowed in Eorzea. Reproduction, and all things associated with it, has absolutely no bearing in this particular discussion.
