This is why most people have moved onto wanting to call it something else but most of those who don't want SSM are still on their side of the fence saying "nope".

To be fair though, this view could be applied to almost anything they implement. MMO players especially are rarely happy with anything they're given. So if it doesn't make 100% of the playerbase happy, they shouldn't do it.

For those saying that this argument shouldn't include RL morality, SE have forced it to. If they had just implemented SSM without making a big deal of it no one would care. Instead they started and encouraged a debate.

It's not like marriage will be important in game. Who is going to go around seeing who has married who? With SSM enabled those rational thinking people are free to marry who they like and bigots can marry other bigots. Nobody loses. Nobody cares. I'm amazed SE made this an issue :/

While SSM in game has no direct effects in game, it can actually cause hidden society problems later, people just want what they want without thinking of the consequences and say let others deal with it. you're all just ignorant without knowing so, I'm sure none of you was born from a gay couple. and those who have a gay couple parents, what are their fault for not having a mother, or a father(in case of 2 mothers)? you are denying them a normal life. You know that if this continue on, the population will decrease?
What about all the children that were thrown away because they were the result of an unprotected sex? what was their fault? you'll tell me their parent's fault? they should have not had unprotected sex? what if they were under the influence of alcohol? you will say they shouldn't be drinking much? These things happen, do you know why? because alcohol and pre-marriage sex are legal. you're not one to talk about morality or whats right and wrong.
I never drank alcohol nor ever had pre-marriage sex, I'm 25 years old and I'm happily married and expecting my first born.

Wow I can agree on the alcohol and unprotected sex thing that can ruin families and your life but the analogy of gay or lesbian couple raising a child isn't so accurate first off I do no lesbian couples that are raising kids and they do a dam fine job in doing so even to the extent they try to teach both sides of the issue and are cool if he or she be straight relationship that cool with them I asked a question like that because not everyone is the same and was curious on it. By the number's the planet population are huge if you actual read into it there is concerns about food production in the future were there talking about not having enough food for all the people and there is more straight people then gay so having children isnt an issue for are species atm and btw I'm straight but I try dammit not to offend opposite opinion in such as way base totally off my ideology people need to become better than this.

Cut out all the off topic chatter to your main point.
Ignoring the fact that there is nothing actually wrong with homosexuality, the game allows you to endlessly murder anything you want, under your argument we should cut that out too because it might make people become murderers like SSM in a video game might make people gay. (which is also incorrect)

Genetic wise no we need each gender to produce comparing us to a netural sex species is kinda out there. However sperm banks and other ways are out there but you still need someone to give the birth. Take that away and your left with one option really then if it came down to it in a apocalypse way :P

The example was to state that there are animals that are bisexual (reproduce with females but will have sex with males) and there are animals that reproduce homosexually but also have a gender (not counting sexless animals).

There is a group of hammerhead sharks that can reproduce with a male and with themselves XD wild..

Anyway I'm saying the only werido's are us - we care about whats natural but nature doesnt give a damn. So obviously its natural.

Not saying every human should go homosexual lol, but as a species we would do just fine being bisexual. Of course we do just fine being hetrosexual as well - but you dont hear hetrosexuals bitching to other hetrosexuals "you must have a child (through sex only, no adoption)!!" (usually :P)
