SE has to take all markets into account. To the proponents of the idea, it may be a nifty addition, but to the opponents, it could be a deal-breaker and jeopardize future sales of the entire franchise.
IMO, the safest thing to do is if they just didn't put a marriage system in at all (let's face it, MMO marriages are equal parts cute, creepy, and meaningless).

we already have enough quarrel in forum (and every where else) even without this topic

Thats a great point, I mean we bicker and fight about races and classes in game and getting equal treatment, so they leave some things we might want to see OUT Of the game to cover this..
Since they cant give their playerbase equal treatment in this regard, leave it out until you make up your mind.
I do understand from a business standpoint why they would consider how people outside of the game would feel about it, but it is A GAME. They can allow non-human cat people to marry giant ogre people and thats ok, but toss in gender and it changes it up... gets too real... (sarcasm there) lol

This. It is not an automatic thing cause it can and will deeply offend many people in certain countries. The opinions of NA players does not equate to the opinions of the world.Typical western-world people thinking that they are the only culture on earth...

Yeah I'm not sure why people automatically think that if someone goes "yay gay marriage!" they're from North America. Considering it's uh....... everywhere.
I know quite a few people from countries that are heavily against homosexuality (the government, that is). How do they feel about it? They support it.
Just because a "country" doesn't support it doesn't mean the people don't.

How many other offensive in game violations do we see on videogames? But this issue is the hot topic? I am certain there are lots of questionable things in this game that may violate moral code in other countries but this one seems to be important enough for SE to single out.. I am assuming to start debates like this..
Well, those sure are some broad generalizations.Typical western-world people thinking that they are the only culture on earth...

Honestly though, if people are that put off by something as minute and "meaningless" a feature as the option for same-sex marriage; so much so that it becomes a deal-breaker in buying the game, then that's pretty much as absurd as it can get.
